I hope you are all well. Well done for all of your hard work last week, you all put lots of effort into your home learning. I really enjoyed reading your VE day recounts. Sounds like lots of you had a great day in the sun.

Please follow the White Rose maths lesson links. Choose Y2 or Y3 and continue from the last lesson you completed. Please note, you can still answer the questions however the worksheets are no longer included.
If you have purchased the Power Maths Summer Home Edition Books. Please continue with the next lesson in the book. Power Maths has 3 sections to each lesson. Please look at a single page at a time. Discover has a challenge for you to think about and discuss with an adult. Share then shows you strategies to solve this. Try getting pencil and paper or counters to work through what it shows you. The next two pages are practice pages for you to complete.

This week in English we are learning about shape poetry!
Writing
Head over to Active Learn and explore the shape poem ‘Brown Owl’
What do you notice? How is it different to an ordinary poem?
Use the word bank and create a shape poem all about a Butterfly or look through the insects allocation for other ideas for your poem. Please note, you can draw your own insects and write your own poem inside if you cannot access a printer. Have fun!

Reading
Go to Active Learn to find a range of reading books at your level. Read them to an adult for 10-20 minutes a day. Don't forget to complete the quizzes under the bug spot.

Year 3:
Please can you have a go at Lesson 4 on our Sound topic.
Activity: Choose an animal and research how it uses sound to find it's way around. A bat or dolphin would be good animals to choose.
