We hope this finds you all well and that you found the activities set out last week fun – I am especially looking forward to seeing some more of the Super Veggies you have been making on the class blog!
Here are a few suggestions for activities you may want to follow along with this week:
Receptions Maths is focussed around ‘The Night Pirates’ story which you can hear read by clicking on the link to hear is read by Ellie Harrison on Cbeebies Bedtime stories. The Troll is also available here too.
Phonics for Reception Set 1 lessons are a recap of what we have already done and Set 2 will be new learning. There is a new programme everyday starting at 9.30 a.m.
For Reception this week we would like them to take a look at the Oak Academy Materials focussed on writing your own story about the Three Little Pigs. There are 5 lessons, each one can be done in around 20 minutes and have all of the questions and tasks (including a quiz) built in to them too. Please share your stories and ideas with us on the Blog page so we can gather your feedback for the week.
Online reading books are available here. Try to do a little bit of reading everyday.
Try to do a little handwriting everyday.
Three stories will be published each week on this YouTube channel and are ideal for Nursery, Reception and KS1 children. So far, they are filming stories by Jeanne Willis, Tom Percival, Jill Murphy, Cressida Owen and Claire Freedman.
Being a Scientist by looking for patterns. Look here on our website.
We are starting a new topic called ‘What’s under our feet?’ and we will be learning about …. dinosaurs. But before we start I want you to think about what you know already. Do you know anything already about dinosaurs? Draw some pictures or take a photo of some of your own toy dinosaurs. Then think about what you would like to find out about dinosaurs. Think of a question . Please get an adult to write these down for you and take a photo for the blog. Have a go at this quiz .
There’s a new lesson on an Islamic Story to look at for RE this week
