We learn phonics using some elements of 'Read Write Inc.'
In Active Learn you will find phonics activities and reading books to practise the skill allocated to your child.
In the videos the lady puts her hands on her shoulders when it is her turn and puts her hands towards the camera when it is the children's turn to say the sound. When she does 'Fred Talk' the children should first say the word in 'Fred Talk' and then blend the sounds to make a word. When the letters on the cards are shown the children should say the sound and when the picture is shown, say the phrase.
Each lesson is ten minutes long and available for 24 hours.
Repeats of lessons streamed up until Friday 3rd April will be shown during the Easter holidays (excluding Bank Holidays).
• Set 1 Speed Sounds 9.30 am (BST) - for children in Nursery and Reception and children who are new to English
