Today we are thinking about our senses.
First watch this video and play this game.
Now let’s think about our sense of hearing.
Can you always hear your grown up when they shout you? Why or why not?
Try this experiment
Can you think of an experiment that you could do to find out what prevents you from hearing them so well? Can you turn it into a question?
Remember when you do an experiment, just change 1 thing each time you test. So you could change how far away you are, or change what noise is already in the room you are in, or change what clothing you have over your ears – sun hat, woolly hat, ear muffs. Or you could change the distance away from the noise to see what the differences are.
Before you start, try and predict what the answer might be.
At the end of the experiment write a sentence about what you found out. Did you spot any patterns in the results?
Add an explanation about why you think our bodies need these 5 senses.
Record your experiment on paper and take a photo and send to 2Email.
Go to Purple Mash and draw a picture of your body and label the parts of the body that are linked to the 5 senses.
Do the Senses and Label your body quiz on Purple Mash.
Try these activities:
Make a yoghurt pot phone.
Watch sound in action.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
