Sports Premium
Following the Olympic games in 2012, the Government was determined to secure a sporting legacy and develop enjoyment of sport and a healthy lifestyle from an early age.
To support this aim, every state funded school with primary aged children receives an allocation of Sports Development Funding for sport and physical education. Each school receives a base amount of £16,000 plus a further £10 per pupil on roll Y1-Y6.

We aim to use our funding to:
- Working effectively in partnership with other schools, external agencies and the local community
- Taking part in PE cluster staff training and activities
- Improving the quality and breadth of PE provision
- Promoting participation in sport and a healthy lifestyle
- Giving pupils the opportunity to achieve their sporting potential through access to festivals and competitive events
- Improving staff training and specialist knowledge
Sports Premium money has been spent on:
- mentoring for the PE coordinator and teachers
- coaches
- access to cluster events (including transport)
- subsidising sports clubs
- SHAPE School Sports Partnership subscription
- a scheme of work focussed on skills (REAL PE)
