Year 5: The live Maths lesson will start at 10.30am. We will be doing Lesson 6 Unit 10 Fractions (3) Complete the pages from your practice book and self mark your work, correcting any errors the best you can.
English: In today's live lesson at 8.45am, we will be reading screen 6 of the e book together; we will be exploring the topic of blood donation. You will be asked to consider the following statement:
People should be paid to give blood
You will have the chance to share your ideas and look at the arguments for and against this statement. Your follow up task is to plan and write a speech based on your own views ( use the planning sheet below before you write).
I know how much you enjoyed our debate lesson last time, so on Friday we will be debating this statement live on Teams. Be prepared with your speech- you know how important it is to support your ideas with evidence so add some facts and back up stories to support the points you make.
