As part of celebrating Christingle, a joyful celebration that brings families and communities together to share the light of Jesus and spread a message of hope, Y5 and 6 held a service in church for both schoolchildren and their parents. The children of Y6 recited nine Bible readings, whilst Y5 built the Nativity tableau for all to see at the front of church. Amongst this, there were songs sung by KS2, who all sang ‘Sing the Love’ together to close the service. The children sang the song whilst holding their lit Christingle, which the Y5/6 children had made earlier in the day.
