This is the final weekly update that you will read, can you believe it? I have to say, I am feeling very sad about having to say goodbye to you all but I know that you are all ready for your new chapter- moving onto secondary school. How exciting!
This week will be very different because it is the last week of term. If you'd like to continue with the English and Maths tasks, just look back on all of the past weekly updates and choose the activities and lessons that you haven't already completed. BBC bitesize has lots of daily lessons for Maths and English as well as other subjects too. Otherwise, see below for the work i'd like you to try:
Reading/SPAG/Writing
I have allocated you a Greek myth story called The Lost myth of Mathos on Purple Mash. Read Chapter 3 and 4 this week then answer the multiple choice questions about it on Purple Mash. There is also a writing task for each chapter that has been set as a 2do. For SPAG and further comprehension questions linking to Chapter 3 and 4 find them in the English resources section of the class page here.
Physical Activity: This week, the School Games personal challenge is based on racket sports. Follow this link here for daily activities that can be done at home to keep you active.Look back through any other personal challenges that you have not yet completed if you'd like some ideas for how to stay active at home.
Road safety: It is important to remind yourself about keeping safe when crossing or using the roads. Use this resource to think about right or wrong decisions when using our roads. You can then complete the 2dos on Purple Mash to do with road safety. There is also an interactive game you can play when you visit this site:
Transition work:Use this link to the BBC bitesize resources for some useful resources about moving on to Secondary school. Use the resources in our PHSE section of the class page to help you plan for moving up to secondary school. Have you looked at your secondary school's website yet? There will be lots of answers to your questions and lots of information on there that will help you to prepare.
