English: After today's live lesson at 8.45am, you will have recapped on how to use expanded noun phrases effectively in your writing. Your task today is to write the next paragraph for your story. Aim to add in expanded noun phrases with carefully selected adjectives for effect.
Think about the next stage of your story, using your plan to help you. You should start to build up to the problem/dilemma that your character will face by adding tension and suspense. See below for an example of how I have used my plan to write my next paragraph:
Eye of the Gorilla, Paragraph 3
As I hear the distant, high-pitched cries of a child in the zoo, my mind takes me to a not-so happy memory from my childhood in the rainforest. I blink, blink again, trying to push the images of that day to the back of my mind: urging my brain to smother this memory in a cloak of darkness, desperate to forget what was the worst day of my life....
It was the gunshot I heard first, followed by a deafening silence. I had been playing with Bu (my younger cousin) in our favourite spot- in the gnarled, cavernous opening of a tree, blanketed by the dense, emerald-green leaves above.
In the Afternoon Mrs Phipps has set your work for RE lesson 4 here
Your Computing Lesson 4 can be found here.
If you are not able to download the SharePoint Files you can be creating your own Animations using the Sprites and Backgrounds that are provided with Scratch - this can be filmed and sent back for us to see in school. Just try to incorporate the different coding Mrs Phipps' shares from each lesson as we go along.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
