Today, 5th November is Bonfire Night. Even though you will not be able to attend an organised event this year, your family may have decided to buy some fireworks or sparklers to enjoy at home. Even if you have decided not to take part in any celebrations this year, it is important to educate others about the importance of staying safe around fireworks.
Here are your tasks for this lesson:
1. Watch the short video below about firework safety.
2. Use the facts and tips from the video you make a poster to promote keeping safe around fireworks. I have set this as a 2do on Purple Mash or you may want to make your own using paper and any materials you have at home.
3. Upload/save anything you do to Purple Mash, i'd love to see your creations!
Optional task: Since we are learning about poetry in English, I have set you a Bonfire Night poem task on Purple Mash for you to have a go at if you wish.
Fireworks are beautiful, but need to be handled with care and caution. Take the proper safety precautions by following these tips!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
