Maths
Today's Maths lesson can be found in your text book and practice book. Both are allocated to you on Active learn. Just click on the power maths tab then find textbook 4b or 3b.
Y4 should just complete lesson 1 in their practice books as we have already looked at lesson 1 in the text book together.
Y3 should look at lesson 7 in their textbooks pg 32 and then complete the activities for lesson 7 in their practice books starting on page 24.
You will find the answers here and can mark them before you upload to purple mash.
Big Maths
You will find your safe maths challenges on a document emailed to you on purple mash. We are on week 3. You will need this document every week. Complete on the sheet or on a piece of paper then check your answers and upload.
Choose a skill you need to practise on Daily ten. Y3, use level 3. Y4, use level 4. If you find it too easy or too hard, adjust to the next level up or down. Allow yourself at least 15 seconds to jot down your answers or choose manual if you need more time.
Practise your times table skills using multiplication skills on Purple Mash.
Practise your quickfire addition skills on hit the button. Choose number bonds and doubles.
Try the bead numbers place value investigation. Start with one bead and then build up to 2 beads and so on. How far can you go?
Y3, try place value basket ball. Use numbers up to 999.
Y4, try place value millionaire.
PE
For a stay at home challenge, why not try golf? No special equipment needed. Find out about golf and then try some of the daily challenges. You could always take a photo and upload to purple mash. Check out this guidance from the Derbyshire School sports team.
Should anyone be allowed to buy a pet? Watch the virtual assembly on the picture news website and discuss with someone in your family. You can also add a comment to their website. There are some suggestions on the document below for what to discuss.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
