Hello Sapphire Class,
How are you all? Firstly, I'd like to say a huge thank you for completing the work and activities I have set for you. It has brightened my day to hear about all of the wonderful things that you have been up to and it is so nice to see that you are happy and healthy!
I have been busy trying to figure out the 2email feature of Purple Mash and I have sent you all an email, so please check your inbox and reply to me! It is just another way of keeping in touch in a really safe way.
For the holidays, I really want you to have lots of fun being outdoors as much as possible and enjoy the new Spring weather (hopefully!) so many of the activities I have suggested will be based on this theme.....
English: I have set you a 2do task to write a poem about the changes from Winter to Spring-get outside and observe the wonderful signs of spring. You could even have a go at playing Springo by using the sheet to help to spot different things. I'd love to see some of your poetry so why not post a blog on our school website? Poetry is, of course, meant to be performed, so why not go the extra mile and read your poem aloud to your family or through a video call to more distant friends or family- I just know they'd love that!
With the Spring theme, I'd love you all to have a go at becoming budding photographers! This might link nicely with your poem and you could put a Spring photograph to accompany your writing. Or why not post a blog of your Spring photograph on our school website? The rspb website has included some top tips for Spring photography, so take a look. You could even enter the competition they are running!
Keep going with the other work I have set in the last two weeks if you can and remember, you have lots of books on Bug Club, which I will be updating too.
Maths: White Rose are still releasing lessons over the holidays so take a look at the videos and complete the tasks. I'd like to hear from anyone who has been completing these as, unlike the website and Purple Mash, I have no way of knowing so please share by blogging about any extra Maths you have been doing with any useful recommendations! Again, please continue with any of the previous Maths tasks that I have set and look out for any new 2dos on Purple Mash.
Keep Active this Easter: It has been great to hear on the blog pages that so many of you have been active at home, who has been doing the Joe Wicks workouts each day? Remember, you don't have to do them at 9am as they are saved for you to access at any time of the day. I have added some new resources for ideas to be active in the physical activity section of our website, including a physical activity log to keep track of how active you are being. Again, please share this on our blog.
Enjoy your holidays and keep safe!
