Adaptation
This lesson looks at how animals and plants adapt to the environment around them. Do you know the difference between an environment and a habitat? Think about this carefully and write down a definition for each, or discuss your ideas with an adult. Check if you are correct by looking at slide 6 on the lesson presentation ( below). Challenge yourself to write down as many different types of habitat as you can in 2 minutes....GO! Did you get as many as on the list on slide 8?
Next, read through the rest of the lesson presentation on adaptation so that you understand what it means. Watch this bbc bitesize clip about how different animals have adapted to their environments. Now research another animal of your choice and find out how it has adapted to its environment. Present your findings in an interesting way- a poster, fact file, leaflet or even film it like a documentary! I'd love to see your finished results,
