While you are waiting, try the reading activity from Oak Academy below. Allow about 11 minutes to watch the lesson then about 30 minutes for the independent activity to draw and write a fact box for your own imaginary deep sea creature.
Today's book is a non-fiction book about the deep sea. This is lesson 5 of 5. Find the lesson by clicking here.
Let's think
In today's lesson, we are going to generate an ideas bank for everything we can see or imagine is happening in this picture. We will save this into the class notebook in MS teams so you can look back at it.
To do
Using the ideas we have generated together, can you write a paragraph (4-8 sentences) to describe what is happening in the picture? In MS teams, make sure you are logged in using your Barlow log in, then click on class notebook, click on the navigation button on the left hand side, choose your name then choose class notes and Mysterious House. It will appear directly after the live lesson.
For each sentence you write, underline a word or phrase that is particularly effective. Before you hand it in on purple mash, check your work.
Today's Maths lesson can be found in your text book and practice book.
Live lessons: Y4 at 10:30 and Y3 at 11:15 live online.
Join us to go through the text book section together then complete your practice book independently.
Y3 Unit 8 Lesson 7
Y4 Unit 8 Lesson 6
You will find the answers here and can mark them yourself then upload to purple mash if you are not sure about anything.
This term, we are continuing to learn about Scratch programming. Remember you can download the free scratch programme (check with your grown-up).
We are going to spend a few weeks working on our final project to create a story book so use today to go back to your file from last week and build your story a bit further. Remember the cards from all of the suggested sessions will support you on creating your story and switching from one scene to the next. Click on spring 21 below to remind yourself.
