At Barlow Church of England Primary School we use a scheme called Read Write Inc to teach phonics. Please click on the links below for a guide to correct pronunciation, Fred talk and interactive activities for learning the sounds. There are handwriting sheets to download and print, with the phrases we use for correct letter formation, and reading activity sheets for all levels. All children progress at different rates but as a general rule:
*Please note the colour of the books for the Speedy Green Words Slideshows are not the same as the book level colours we use in school.
There are also free ebooks available on this site for your child to practise and apply their phonics skills. You need to register but it is free.
